Uncommon Kitchen

The Uncommon Kitchen restaurant and deli is located inside New Moon Natural Foods in Tahoe City and serves up fresh, healthy food with no additives. The kitchen uses only organic produce, meat and dairy products whenever possible and they also support local growers as well an organic and sustainable farming practices. Their go-to packaging is also biodegradable and made from bioplastics made from corn and sugar. Their menu consists of items like fresh falafel, Pad Thai, fish tacos, sushi, sandwiches made with fresh bread, soups from fresh ingredients and a multitude of great salads including carrot and beet, Five "C" Salad, Asian coleslaw and Thai green papaya salad. Everything can be eaten in the deli, outside at one of their picnic tables (made from local wood) or on the go. Drinks include coffee and tea, fresh squeezed juices, Chai, Kombucha and organic lemonade for only $2.00.
