Danielle Oteri is an art historian whose prime focus is the region of Campania, Italy but her roots are in New York's Little Italy in the Bronx, a time capsule of Italian foods at markets, bakeries, pasta shops and cheese stores or latticini. Feast on History leads visitors behind the scenes at various shops including Vincent's Meat Market, one of New York's 10best butcher shops today but was once a dried fish store owned by Oteri's great grandfather and also served as the set for the Oscar-winning film, "Marty" starring Ernest Borgnine. The two-hour tour includes a stroll through the Arthur Avenue Retail Market, Madonia bakery, pastry shops such as Egidio's ending with a Salerno-style pizza fresh from a wood-burning oven at Tino's.
