Don't be fooled by the bright lights of Vanderbilt Avenue as tempting as they may be, Underhill Avenue is where you want to be and sitting on a comfy bar stool at Bar Sepia to be precise. Located a stones throw away from Eastern Parkway, Bar Sepia is chilled out, friendly and serves a host of delicious cocktails made with fresh, ambrosial ingredients. The décor is warm and welcoming encompassing exposed brick and dark wood paneling. There is a great window seat at the front and a charming patio out back. Surrounding Bar Sepia is the Brooklyn Museum of Art, the Brooklyn Botanical Gardens and the Brooklyn Public Library, making Bar Sepia the perfect choice for a relaxing post-culture cocktail. The bartenders are cheerful and accommodating without being in your face. They are incredibly knowledgeable and each one a master of mixology. If you're lucky enough to saunter in while they are creating a new restorative tonic, you will be persuaded to become a chief taste tester, forced to sample the enchantment of beverages made with fresh lavender, rosemary and a whole host of other exquisite ingredients that will make you squeal with delight. One last triumph of Bar Sepia is the extremely considerate ladies washroom. Trust me girls, you will know what I mean when you get there.
