The Cooper exhibit investigates the unsolved case of notorious skyjacker D.B. Cooper. You'll learn about the 1971 skyjacking of Northwest Orient Flight 305. The flight was traveling from Portland to Seattle when Dan Cooper aka D.B. Cooper highjacked the plane, extorted $200,000 ransom and then parachuted from the plane. The case still remains unsolved and questions remain about Cooper's identity, his whereabouts, and if he even survived. At the exhibit, you'll also learn how this incident affected national aviation security and the impact it had on the Pacific Northwest.
