Hotel Vintage in the heart of downtown Portland, Ore., just underwent an extensive remodel, and the results are incredible.

Even if you have stayed here in the past, you should prepare yourself to be blown away the next time you stay here.

Just a few of the highlights include bigger common areas, modernized guest rooms and plenty of wine to go around.

The lobby is now twice as big and home to the new lobby bar, Bacchus Bar. Bacchus Bar offers an extensive happy hour during the week, with discounts on drinks and discounts on food items like $4 fried clams and $9 cheese and charcuterie plates. Kids are allowed in this cozy area.

On the other side of the lobby is a smaller seating area, where they host a daily wine hour each day from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. During wine hour, you have the opportunity to sample two different wines.

Hotel Vintage has now partnered with 117 Willamette Valley wineries, each of which hosts the wine hour once per quarter. You actually get to meet someone from the winery that you're sampling from!

Directly upstairs from the lobby bar is the game room, with a pool table, shuffle board, two TVs and plenty of seating. There's an XBOX and Wii hooked up to the TVs. Game controllers and games can be checked out from Bacchus Bar. Kids are also allowed in this area.

There's a second smaller game room on a higher floor, which boasts old-school board games.

At Hotel Vintage, there's an assortment of rooms to select from; in fact, they have 97 different room layouts.

For families, they have spacious rooms with two double beds or massive suites with a king bed and a couch that makes into a bed.

For couples, they have garden suites with luscious suites that feature an outdoor patio with a Jacuzzi. All rooms have coffee makers with Starbucks coffee and a yoga mat in the closet, along with hoodie robes.

Every room features two bottles of wine, as well, because each room is dedicated to a local winery. Both bottles in your room will come from the same winery. This is Hotel Vintage's way of paying homage to Willamette Valley’s wines. Each floor, too, is dedicated to a different Willamette Valley AVA (American Viticultural Area).

Hotel Vintage is a Kimpton Hotel, which means all the amenities you expect from a Kimpton property are included here. This includes complimentary coffee and tea each morning in the lobby and a daily wine hour. Plus, complimentary bikes for you to pedal around the city.
