The Oregon Garden – located in the historic town of Silverton, not far from Silver Falls State Park and just an hour’s drive from the Portland metropolitan area – offers a full lineup of summer events, all scheduled to take place amidst its 80 acres of gardens.
Upcoming summertime events – which range from a beer festival to art presentations and movie showings – are great for the whole family, including the pets.

The 11th Annual Oregon Garden Brewfest will take place June 19 through 21 this year, coinciding with Father’s Day. The popular Willamette Valley festival will feature 130 handcrafted beers, ciders and mead from more than 65 different breweries from across the nation.
Event hours run from noon to 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday and then from noon to 5 p.m. on Sunday. It's an additional fee on top of admission to attend this event.
The Oregon Garden's July 3rd Fireworks event includes a spectacular yet intimate fireworks display. The event also features live music, food and beverages.
Grab some popcorn and a picnic blanket: The Oregon Garden in Silverton has announced the return of its popular Movies in the Garden series, which screens a cult classic every Thursday evening throughout the summer.
The movies are shown on a big screen in the Garden Green – the heart of The Oregon Garden – every Thursday night beginning July 9 and running through August 27.

Art in the Garden is a summer addition to the garden that features three outdoor art installations by local artists. These pieces can be viewed anytime during regular garden hours, July 10 through September 30, with paid garden admission. This year’s featured artists include David Hillesland, Tyler Brumfield and Paul Jenkins.
The Art in the Garden Opening Reception will take place on July 10 from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. The three featured artists will give talks about their installations and inspiration, while guests enjoy live music, light appetizers and wine tasting. Tickets are $15 and available online.
Sunsets in the Garden is an after-hours event that takes place on Wednesday evenings from August 5 to September 9. Sunsets in the Garden features complimentary tastings from local wineries and breweries, live music and the opportunity to watch the setting sun from the beautiful Sensory Garden.
The Oregon Garden offers more than 80 acres that showcase the natural wonders of the Pacific Northwest, with more than 20 individual themed gardens and related attractions.
The Oregon Garden is open 365 days a year. The cost to get into the garden is $11 for adults; $9 for seniors (ages 60+); $8 for students ages 12 to 17; $5 for children ages five through 11; and free for children four and under. Retired and active duty receive $8 admission with their military I.D. daily.
