Hopworks Urban Brewery is Portland's first eco brewpub and home to their family friendly pub. The pub serves good food and beers. There are many TVs spread throughout the pub to watch sports on. They incorporate sustainable practices in their operation. Hopworks is 100% renewably powered and "cradle to gate" carbon neutral. They offer tours every Saturday at 3 PM. Hopworks is a 20 barrel brewery that produces 10,000 barrels of organic beer a year. All tours include 2 beer tastings. Their tours can accommodate up to 20 people and preference is given to those who make a reservation, even though reservations are not required. Closed toe shoes are required for the tour. A favorite downtown spot for people of all ages, Kells offer Irish food and drink with a Northwest influence. Live nightly shows make this pub the best place in Portland to hear traditional Irish music. The music can be quite loud. A separate cigar lounge (with separate ventilation, of course) offers a wide selection of smokes. Though Kells offers Guiness Stout and a selection of beers and wines, it really stands out with its menu of single-malt scotch and Irish whiskey. The menu offers some traditional Irish favorites along with some more typical American fare. Kells is also open for and breakfast on the weekends.




Backstage Bar is a cool place to hang out, watch the game, and have a beer. Considered to be the the loftiest place to play pool among bars in Portland with their super high ceilings. This hidden bar behind the Bagdad Theater's screen actually stretches an incredible seven stories from floor to ceiling! Big Al's is a massive family friendly sports bar with something for everyone. Besides being a sports bar they also have a restaurant, arcade, and bowling alley all wrapped into one. Big Al's was built to resemble a stadium, it boasts wrap-around booth seating, exposed trusses, metal decking, concrete floors, a painted sky ceiling. You won't miss a single play watching one of their four 50 inch HD plasmas, two 42 inch plasmas, one 69 inch wide projection screen AND a 55 inch wide HD projection screen that can be viewed as three massive wide-screens or divided into any combination of smaller viewing screens.

Buffalo Saloon and Eatery has been serving and entertaining people in Portland for over 40 years. Here you can enjoy large portions of breakfast, lunch, or dinner along with stellar service. Food choices are varied from healthier items like the Asian Kale salad to more traditional bar food like wings. 4-4-2 Soccer Bar is the place to go in Portland for soccer games. It is the only sports bar in Portland dedicated to showing soccer games from all around the world. They offer every single soccer channel imaginable, including international channels. The owner is originally from Bosnia and serves wonderful Bosnian food, including Cevapi. This is the only place in town that serves Cevapi. They have a mix of European beers and local Oregon beers available on tap. Happy hour is available Monday through Friday from 3 PM until 6 PM. River Pig Saloon should be everyone's go to bar in downtown Portland, Oregon. This trendy spot is unlike any other in Portland.
