This late 18th century colonial structure, which is listed on the National Register of Historic Places, houses an elegant candlelit restaurant, superb cuisine, and gracious hospitality. You will experience the sights, sounds and tastes of the Civil War era in the Alexander Dobbin Dining Rooms. The traditional menu features Adam County's fresh duck, William Penn's pork tenderloin with cherries, prime rib, and drunken scallops. Delicious homemade desserts include warm colonial gingerbread. Though casual and cozy, the Dobbin House is the fine dining side of the three restaurants under the establishment's dining umbrella. The Dobbins House Tavern is located adjacent to the Gettystown Inn Bed and Breakfast.
