What do you get when you take one of the city of Philadelphia's most well-known hotels and vacate its former location? Certainly some sad-faced former patrons.
Yet you also get room for something new, something fresh. With the movement of the city's Four Seasons Hotel to the new Comcast Innovation and Technology Center, which will open in 2018, the space left behind was perfect for welcoming a fresh new tenant to the corner of Logan Square.
Enter The Logan Hotel, a 390-room lodging option aimed at modern luxury.

The Logan Hotel is part of an effort by Hilton Hotels and their Curio collection. These hotels, while still under the Hilton umbrella, really try to become more of a local option, as The Logan demonstrates.
The name alone melds well into the location in Logan Square. And the restaurant that will open here will feature local ingredients and source them from area farms. The decor will carry a more contemporary feel to it, and the space inside will feature artwork from Philadelphia area artists to further the local connection.
All in all, patrons will be able to feel more of a connection to the city, rather than a connection to the brand, which will make for an entirely different type of hotel experience here.
It's a boutique hotel that grants folks a more personal experience, but it's run by a large hotel corporation, which guarantees the place has got some solid leadership and direction behind it.
That sounds like a winning combination in any locale!

Some of the things you can expect when The Logan Hotel opens its doors – which is slated for December of 2015 – are updated color schemes and more vibrant rooms, a new restaurant and fitness center and spa, as well as meeting spaces. The changes come about as a result of visions from BLT Architects as well as Dawson Design Associates.
Luxurious amenities can be found in all rooms, as well as hotel-wide favorites such as Wifi and HDTVs in each room. There are suites here, as well, which deliver luxury for travelers with larger families or friends traveling together.
The hotel offers lovely views of the city of Philadelphia; an unbeatable central location from which to see and do other things, should you wish; or the freedom to stay where you are and take in the calm, the luxury, the serenity and the pleasure of being tended to in every way you need.
The Logan Hotel promises to be that oasis you seek, as well as a centrally located resting spot after a day in town. So while the old hotel may be no more, this new player in the city's hotel scene promises to be a wonderful spot all on its own.
