Patrons who have frequented North Bowl in Northern Liberties knows it for good times. South Bowl is larger, and it features 16 lanes of bowling in their public space. The venue also offers up two rooms that may be rented for private affairs, which feature six and four lanes.
The place also has several billiard tables, a selection of video games and vintage seating that delivers on character and comfort.
Upstairs at South Bowl, there's a balcony that overlooks the main lane area, and their large roof deck offers a nice place to relax during warmer months, with or without a drink from their full bar.
Choose from a wide variety of canned beers, including several local selections, cocktails, wine, sodas and other thirst-quenching beverages.
If stomach grumblings begin to hamper your game while you're here, don't fret. There's food as well. Patrons of North Bowl know that their tater tots are one of their biggest sellers, and customers love that they come in a wide variety of delicious flavors.
South Bowl will feature these scrumptious tots as well, or you may choose from other foods such as burgers, pizza, wings and mac 'n' cheese, among others.
For bowlers who are used to the old days of drab, concrete warehouse-like settings in which to play the game, this place is a welcome reprieve. It's more than just a bowling alley; it's a true hangout, with all you need for a great night out right here in one setting.
Warm weather or cold, this place fits the bill for group outings, team building events, special occasions or just a little something different to do with buddies. It's nice to be able to fit in a little activity into your evenings out, and this place helps you do it enjoyably. South Bowl is also open on weekends, so families are able to spend time together tipping the pins.
Schedule yourself some time at this terrific new South Philly venue, and you'll have fun to spare.
