Real Plaza — Photo courtesy of Isabel Guerra Real Plaza is a shopping center that has added new life to a section of Lima Downtown that had been absolutely underestimated until until a few years ago. Its location is unbeatable: at the very centric Garcilaso de la Vega Avenue. It’s also directly connected to the Metropolitano Central Station, so you can easily connect to other districts, especially San Isidro, Miraflores and Barranco.

Real Plaza is a franchise with presence in many important Peruvian cities. This one, located next to the Sheraton Hotel and Conventions Center (at the Centro Civico), is not only full of shops, but also has a large food court with many options to choose from, a Plaza vea supermarket and it’s still within walking distance of the historic Lima Downtown (although you can use public transportation if you prefer). If you are traveling with kids, this is an excellent option, since there’s always some open activity organized for them. There’s also plenty of fast foods kids love, like hamburgers or nuggets with fries, pancakes, and desserts. Real Plaza — Photo courtesy of Real Plaza
There are also some very nice cafeterias to relax and wind down and gift shops to take some souvenirs home.
If you are in the neighborhood, this is the perfect place for a shopping spree and a good place to finish your urban expedition in historic Lima Downtown.
To summarize, this is a recommendable place: good location, wide array of options, reasonable prices, and kid-friendly facilities.
