Opened in 2011, this is still one of the newest and largest hotels in Lima. Although at first sight it may seem that it is primarily focused in serving business travelers, its resort-like services can certainly appeal any other travelers.Entrance — Photo courtesy of Westin Lima Hotel
The very convenient hotel location is also close to major museums and archaeological sites, such as Huaca Huallamarca and Huaca Pucllana, and from the Museo de la Nacion as well. Nearby, within walking distance, you can take a walk by El Olivar, a park that treasures dozens of very old olive trees (some of them are believed to be more than 300 years old) and enjoy some of the architectural contrasts of the city, with traditional old houses and very modern office buildings: in fact, two of the main department stores in Peru, Ripley and Saga Falabella, are only three blocks away.Westin Lima (Interiors) — Photo courtesy of Oscar Pinto Sanchez
Once in the hotel, you will find a spa, an indoor pool, fitness center, and many options for dining: also, all the rooms and suites offer amazing views of the city. Other facilities include wireless Internet access (fees apply), room service and a laundry service (fees apply, too). A continental breakfast buffet is served each morning and guests may also select their lunch from a buffet.Bedroom (with view) — Photo courtesy of Westin Lima Hotel
To summarize, this new hotel is a good choice for business people and for families as well: and remember to ask for its special weekend promotions. This place is also currently recognized as the largest convention center in Lima, appropriated to host any kind of event, either a massive corporative convention... or your wedding!
