Lisbon Hotels Located near Estádio da Luz Football Stadium in Benfica

Lisbon’s Estádio da Luz (Stadium of Light) is one of two great temples to football located in the Portuguese capital. Situated in Benfica in the city’s northern suburbs, the Estádio da Luz football stadium is set away from the city centre. Fortunately, several hotels are within proximity to Benfica’s football ground, or at least are sited near public transport hubs that serve the sports venue.

The nearest is the Corinthia Hotel Lisboa. This 5-star is also the closest to a metro and overland railway station, both of which connect the hotel with the stadium. Not far away is the SANA Malhoa Hotel. In fact its neighbour is the Hotel Ibis Lisboa Jose Malhoa. Public transport is close at hand.

In the same boulevard is the Mercure Lisboa. At the top of the street on Praça da Espanha is the Acores Lisboa while nearby is the Novotel Lisboa – all convenient bases from which to travel to the Stadium of Light.

Further away is the Lisbon Marriott Hotel. Together with the SANA Metropolitan Hotel these two properties are still within walking distance of a metro station, but a cab might prove less taxing.

Nearer to the city centre is a good budget option, Hotel 3K Barcelona. It stands opposite the Holiday Inn Lisbon – Continental.  Both are just around the corner from a metro station with links to Benfica. And within walking distance is Entre Campos railway station, which also serves the Benfica district.

With Lisbon's Campo Pequeno metro station literally on the doorstep, guests staying here have much of the city close at hand, including the Estádio da Luz, which is just over 3km away. Sited in a pleasant boulevard in one of the Portuguese...  Read More
