Spanish restaurant Catalunya has an enviable position in the glass-enclosed Fullerton Pavilion on the waters of Marina Bay, providing stunning views to its diners. This contemporary Spanish restaurant is helmed by an international team of award-winning culinary experts from the likes elBulli, Santi, Drolma and Sketch. Executive Chef Alain Devahive Tolosa spent a decade in the kitchens at elBulli. He is joined by his former elBulli colleague, Restaurant Manager Pol Perello, in addition to three other elBulli team members. Catalunya's menu provides an interesting marriage of contemporary and traditional Spanish cuisine. A variety of hot and cold tapas includes Cod Fish "Esquixda" (a typical Catalan salad of shredded cod), Jamon Iberico Croquettes and Chicken Wings "Al Ajillo", while the "deconstructed" tortilla is a distinct nod back to the team's days of molecular gastronomy at elBulli. Larger dishes are no less enticing, with the Roasted Suckling Pig with Lemon Puree, Lobster Rice and Veal "Fricando" with Wild Mushrooms all on the menu. To complement the renowned culinary team, award winning Mixologist Dario Nocentini serves up one-of-a-kind cocktails, while a stunning list of Spanish wines will impress even the toughest wine critics.
