Load the little ones in the car for this crowd-pleasing drive-thru exhibit in James Island County Park, just a short drive from downtown Charleston. Three miles of spectacular Christmas lights make an for awesome holiday display that includes reindeer, snowmen, Santa Claus, the North Pole workshop and much more. Several kids rides are set up on site, and inside Santa's Sweet Shoppe, you can see the amazing gingerbread houses from the annual contest. Photos with Santa are available nightly for any kids (and adults) who may want to mark the occasion. Note: weekends are busier--visit the Holiday Festival of Lights on a weekday evening for a more relaxed go-round on the light route. The lighted festivities run from November 11th through January 1st during the 2016-17 season.
