Passengers checking in as early as 6am got a very Christmas-y surprise today, as none other than Santa Clause was checking them in. Upon arrival at GSP (Greenville-Spartanburg Intl) travelers headed for the Delta check-in kiosks were astonished to see a large smiling man in a red suit, replete with beard, twinkly eyes and plenty of ho-ho-hos. The check-in area also had elves wearing jingle bells, and once was spotted dancing to make her bells ring, which made the other elves laugh. Passengers quickly forgot the strain of taking an early morning flight and were all smiling as they left the area for the gate.
At the gate, Delta again went the extra mile, cracking jokes during a fog delay, offering free snacks and water, and even booking tight-connection passengers on backup flights, just in case. GSP Airport is a great place to depart on Christmas morning and Delta Airlines is definitely in the Christmas spirit!
