About Travelers Rest

A few minutes north of Greenville, tiny Travelers Rest has embraced its location on the Swamp Rabbit Trail. Cyclists can easily find a place to park their bikes, enjoy a bite or a cold drink. "T.R." also has several galleries, gift shops and boutiques, and a world-class outfitter store.
See & Do
T.R., as locals call Traveler's Rest, has embraced its spot at the far end of Greenville's Swamp Rabbit trail. Positioning itself as friendly to cyclists, T.R. makes the most of the trail which has brought it so many new visitors. Along it you'll find bike rentals, parks, a driving range, an outfitter, shops and restaurants.
Eat
Williams Hardware is a popular lunch spot and wine bar, all inside a gift shop. But since it's right on the Swamp Rabbit Trail, it also serves as a busy way station for cyclists who have ridden to Traveler's Rest from Greenville.
Shop
Sunrift is the largest non-chain-brand outfitter in the Upstate. A hub for paddlers, Sunrift carries a large selection of new and used kayaks and canoes, bicycles, gear, shoes, and all sorts of clothing for outdoor enthusiasts. Downtown also has several worthy shops, galleries, and boutiques, and more are springing up every day as TR continues to gain momentum in being a destination in its own right.
