Palmetto Shores Resort already offers some of the best amenities on the Grand Strand in Myrtle Beach. Now it also has a new crown jewel in the newest oceanview eatery, The Patio Cafe & Bar.
The Patio, as it was renamed and remodeled over the summer, replaces the popular Ocean Boulevard hangout known as The Beach House, which was a bit worn and rustic before getting an extreme makeover by Palmetto Shores. Gone are the wooden picnic tables that adorned the front porch for years, replaced by a clean, new look of white patio furnishings arranged to maximize the view of the beach from across the street.

Not only have the restaurant fixtures themselves been upgraded, but the menu also has a new look. For starters, The Patio offers a full breakfast buffet featuring all the traditional first-meal favorites such as eggs, bacon, sausage, pancakes and hash browns, giving vacationers and locals the perfect way to start their day.
The lunch and dinner menus have also seen a serious upgrade from the old burgers-and-fries lineup of The Beach House. Although The Patio also has those standards, the addition of steak, crab cakes and other surf and turf combinations make The Patio a great place for a nice lunch and dinner in the downtown district.

Of course, it's the liquid lunch that is making this new hot spot popular among tourists. Take a break from the heat and the beach with a frozen drink or cold beverage. Guests can belly up to the new bar area or enjoy the great outdoors on the spacious patio deck, which is filled with revelers on sunny days.
The Patio is already becoming a popular hangout among the local crowd, a testament to its great service and excellent prices. Happy hour specials on drinks and appetizers pack them in every afternoon and the party continues throughout the evening. Whichever way you roll, make sure The Patio is part of your vacation.
