Coined as a gay bar you'd want to bring your mother to; that’s how Australian owners are marketing their newest Barcelona venture, Mat. A gay sexy bar, that is 'straight friendly'.

Mat will open its doors the third week in July and aims at closing the gap between Barcelona's different crowds. With so many late night venues, especially in the Exiample neighborhood, the gay and straight crews don’t often mingle.

Mat is breaking new ground with its all-inclusive approach. It welcomes those from all walks of life and won’t be too specifically geared towards one group of people. If you like to socialize, dance and drink and want to be surrounded by trendy, good looking people, then this late night bar is worth a visit.
