Barcelona's second Apple store is set to launch mid-summer, 2012 on the trendy street of Passeig de Gracia. Its 3,200 meters squared of space was remodeled for what is rumored to be a 30-year contract; beating out the likes of Uniqlo for a piece of the city's most prime real estate. Just a stone's throw from La Rambla and a quick walk to the Gotico and Born neighborhoods, Apple’s newest location is in the center of Barcelona's high-end fashion district.

To date, the only Apple store in Barcelona has been in the Maquinista shopping mall, a 20-minute train ride from the downtown core. This is a welcome addition to the city, especially since FNAC, Barcelona’s greatest seller for everything electronic (including all Apple products), is right around the corner.
