Having opened in January 2012, the Ibis Barcelona Santa Coloma offers another excellent budget hotel option for travelers. Primarily geared towards those wanting an affordable stay just outside of the city center, this hotel is part of the well-known Ibis Hotel chain, which has more than 900 locations worldwide.

The Ibis Santa Coloma is only ten minutes away from Gaudi's Sagrada Familia and close to the metro, highway and La Maquinista shopping center. The hotel is set to have 146 rooms with Wi-Fi, a buffet breakfast, 24-hour bar and car park and is ideal not only for budget travelers but also for those wanting to combine business with leisure, as there is a meeting room as well. The hotel has the advantage of being situated in a peaceful location as it’s slightly removed from all of the action, but it's still very easily accessible either via metro and bus, or a cheap taxi ride (approx 10 Euros) to the downtown core.

This is a perfect place to stay for those looking to enjoy a comfortable stay in an affordable hotel, with plenty of amenities.
