It's hard to find better French food in Barcelona than the cuisine offered at Cafe Emma Bar and Bistro. What used to be open only for dinner has now started serving a delicious lunch menu, either a la carte or as a fixed 'menu del dia.' This is a charming, boutique restaurant, elegantly decorated with a minimal rustic decor complemented by a very French flare.
The restaurant is situated in the upper Born neighborhood and borders the Eixample. Their wine list is quite extensive with an impressive selection of French bottles as well as international ones. Some menu highlights include their beef, tuna tartar, mini bocadillos (sandwiches), and famous French omelet.

Chefs Romain Fornell and Michel Sarran have designed a unique, high quality menu for foodies and those who can appreciate tasty ingredients and innovative dishes.
The restaurant has a distinct layout with three separate spaces including the half-covered terrace, the bar and the main dining area. Although the restaurant has the capacity for 100 people, it doesn't feel large and is a very intimate space to eat breakfast, lunch or dinner. With the arrival of the lunch menu, Cafe Emma also extended into breakfast and provides one of the best French brunches in town.
