In one of Barcelona's funnest neighborhoods, Hotel America has opened its terrace to the public. Situated on Enric Granados Street, in the heart of the city's gay district, the hotel caters to an unassuming, elegant crowd - those who want to be in a lively atmosphere yet away from the downtown core.
Its rooftop terrace is stunning with excellent views of the city and a warm and intimate atmosphere. Drinks are reasonably priced - only 5 Euros for a glass of wine or cava - with the cocktails being a bit more expensive (they make up for the price with the quantity of alcohol; 'pours' aren't measured in Spain).

Unlike most other terraces in the city where you're given plastic wine glasses, Hotel America's cocktails and drinks come in real glasses, which for many can make a huge difference. Especially if you're looking for a romantic drink atop a rooftop terrace.
There's a mix of comfy large couches which are great for small groups of friends to lounge, drink, eat and even nap, as well as tiny tables where you can sit and enjoy some tapas and mixed drinks. There's also a small pool, which is only open to guests during the day, but the view can still be enjoyed by night.
