It's hard to carve your out niche as a restaurant in Barcelona. In a city that's forever evolving when it comes to nouvelle cuisine and Mediterranean gourmet fused with Catalan delicacies, it's not easy to make your mark. Obe, however, has found a way to penetrate the food scene.

This recently opened, boutique Italian restaurant is fast becoming the new "it" place to dine. Ideal for Italian lovers and general foodies alike, Obe features a charming and classy atmosphere ensconced on a small side street on the edge of the trendy Born neighborhood. Located slightly off the beaten path, it's hidden from the noisy main streets, providing for an intimate ambiance and a great place for romantic dates or dinners amongst friends. It's owned and run by a young Italian duo who love good wines and high quality food. Obe has an extensive Italian wine list as well as a wide variety of pastas, meats, fish and delicious desserts.
