Jazz nights are back on top of Barcelona's beautiful La Pedrera building. Join Summer Nights in the city, a unique experience to enjoy live jazz on top of Gaudi's architectural wonder on Passeig De Gracia. This is one of the most romantic venues to listen to music and take in exceptional city views.
Located on one of Barcelona's trendiest and chicest streets, La Pedrera is one of Gaudi's most magnificent buildings. Right across the street from Casa Batllo and often referred to as Casa Mila, this stunning design often looks like it's made of bones, with Star Wars stormtroopers standing guard on the roof. The famous chimneys, which are said to have inspired George Lucas' characters in his movies, provide for a serene and gorgeous backdrop to the annual Summer Nights events.

Tickets to the show also include free entrance to Espai Gaudi, a visual tour about the life and works of the renowned architect. You're also entitled to a free drink on the terrace. Tickets cost 28 euros, and you can buy them through La Pedrera's website.
This year's edition of Summer Nights features a series of the most talented Barcelona jazz musicians, including up-and-coming youngsters as well as established industry veterans. Aug. 14 through Aug. 16, you can hear Ivan Kovacevic. From Aug. 21 to Aug. 23, listen to Jazz Machin. And from Aug. 28 to Aug. 30, it's Llibert Fortuny and Gergo Borlai.
The concerts go until the second week of September, but be sure to book in advance, as tickets go quickly.
Once the show is over, stroll up Passeig de Gracia - either towards the left or right - where you can explore the Eixample Derecha or Izquierda, both equally alive and full of restaurants, bars and great places to spend an evening on the town.
Or if you'd rather walk towards the sea, Plaza Catalunya is just a few blocks down. You can stop there and have a drink in the Plaza or admire the decor surrounding the water fountain before continuing down La Rambla and towards the Mediterranean.
If you're in town this summer and free Fridays through Sundays, Summer Nights at La Pedrera is a wonderful way to experience the city in a whole new light. Jazz nights are unique in that most locals don't even know about them. It's a great way to acquaint yourself with local musicians while taking in spectacular views atop one of Antoni Gaudi's most famous works of art.
