Titanic Takes Barcelona's Maritime Museum By Storm
A unique new exhibit opens near the port
Just in time to commemorate 100 years since the sinking of the RMS Titanic, a new exhibition opens at Barcelona's Maritime Museum. With close to 200 artifacts that were on board the ship when it went down in 1912, the display features an array of re-creations with detailed explanations in regards to their design and construction.

The exhibit does an excellent job of enabling visitors to feel as if they were on the ship itself with its complete passenger list and reconstruction of many of the original room interiors as well as first class corridors, cabins and dining rooms.
The exhibit also has two original letters written by the ships first officer, William Murdoch, amongst a host of books, photos, shoes and boarding cards that have never been seen before in previous exhibits.
Barcelona's Maritime Museum will host the exhibit until September 2012.
