Paladar i Mas is the most recent addition to hit Barcelona’s wine scene. The second of two trendy, boutique wine shops run by a pair of spunky Venezuelans, 'i Mas' (as it's been coined by the locals), opened a few months ago in the Sarria neighborhood; the posher section of the city, which has provided rave reviews.
Although it attracts plenty of Catalans, the wine bar has become best known for hosting private parties, wine tastings and for selling a diverse and very unique selection of Spanish, Catalan and international wines to locals and tourists alike. What's so great about the place is that you can pass by with the intentions of just buying a bottle to take home. Then, before you know it, you find yourself staying most of the night to drink wine, eat tapas and socialize in the cozy section at the back of the shop, which is full of plush couches and comfy chairs.
The bar’s lively ambiance, eclectic crowd and upbeat music reels you in quite easily. For a reasonable corking fee (3 Euros per bottle), it’s a great place to have a few drinks and to kick off the evening. They also serve a variety of hard liquor if you’re not ‘feeling’ the wine that evening.

In addition to their drink list, Paladar i Mas offers cheap, fresh and delicious tapas. Their signature fig and cheese dish is hard to duplicate anywhere in the city, and all the food is homemade in their small kitchen at the back of the shop.
As one of Barcelona's newest wine bars to hit the stage, i Mas has maintained the same charm and class as that of its sister shop in the Gothic Quarter (Paladar Vinoteca), but with the added bonus of serving tapas and hard liquor.
