Many of Perez-Porro's various materials, including both paper and fabric, strongly resemble the rundown of the East Berlin tower blocks and the lively movement in the urban center with its vibrant colors and bustling streets.
Born in 1960, this innovative artist studied at the Leonardo Da Vinci Art School and later focused on international urban restoration in Torino, Italy. Perez-Porro has a number of public and private collections and has featured his works in Barcelona, around Spain as well as on the international stage.
The exhibit is located in one of the old storage rooms of Casa Antonia Puget, a Moderniste building that opened its doors as the Espai Volart for its first gallery debut in 2002. The venue acts as a forum for the art community, providing spaces for temporary exhibitions.
It's situated on calle (street) Ausiàs Marc in the Ribera neighborhood, and this particular exhibit will remain open until December 16, 2012. Hours are between 11 am-2 pm and 5 pm-8:30p m and it's closed on Mondays and public holidays.
