Barcelona's Best Family-Friendly Hotels, Most Accommodating Places to Stay on Vacation

In a city as busy and full of tourists as Barcelona is, it's no surprise that there is an overabundance of hotels in order to accommodate all tastes and travel styles. In particular, Barcelona is an extremely 'family-fun' vacation destination. Not only is it a city known for its tapas, sangria, siestas and fiestas, but it's full of unique and fun exhibits, history, eclectic markets and above all there's always something going on that'll keep kids and the entire family entertained. Whether you're watching the street performers on La Rambla or the traditional Catalan dances on the weekends in Portal de L'Angel or checking out the Magic Fountain show in Plaza Espanya, it's one city in which you'll never be bored. Therefore it's only suiting that Barcelona be equipped with a variety of family-friendly hotels; where the children have enough to keep them entertained after a busy day and the adults can relax, kick back and enjoy some quiet time after a long day of touring.

Some of the best hotels for families are the ones closest to the city center as it's easy to walk to most of the major sites and more exciting areas. Even if you want to stay away from the heart of the action and in a quieter location, there are plenty of centrally situated hotels that are off the main street yet still close to the downtown core. La Rambla street as well as the Born and Gothic neighborhoods have a variety of family-friendly hotels, as does the Ribera and Eixample neighrbohoods. The Eixample is slightly removed from the city center but it's also in the middle of the Old and 'Newer' part of town, which is a very pretty area to stay and still very well situated.
