This summer Madrid is abuzz with creative activity and exceptional performances at the hands of Veranos de la Villa 2012. This is, simply put, a performing arts extravaganza of plays, operas, concerts and dance performances. In fact, the eclectic festival features many different styles from Spain and around the globe.
Dance performances range from ballet and flamenco to contemporary dance and burlesque, while musical performances run the gamut from classical music and flamenco singing to soul and rock. In fact, the festival brings together hundreds of Spanish artists as well as both established and internationally renowned guest artists from all over the world.
Veranos de Villa performances take place in venues all over the city, like the Teatro Circo Price, Retiro Park, Plaza Mayor, Plaza de España, Sabatini Gardens, Conde Duque, Teatro Español, Matadero, Teatro Fernán Gómez, Teatro Arenal, Teatro Bellas Artes, Teatro La Latina, Teatro Amaya, Teatro Arteria Coliseum, Teatro Infanta Isabel, Teatro Lara, Teatro Maravillas and Teatro Reina Victoria.
