With a convenient, but off-the-most-beaten-path location tucked into a nook of East Memphis, the Courtyard by Marriott Memphis East/Park Avenue has been refreshed from the lobby to the guest rooms. Rooms now feature a warmer and more sophisticated look with upgraded bedding, renewed bathrooms and a separate seating area and work space. Flat screen televisions have been added as well, and in-room wireless is complimentary.

Tech innovations have been upgraded throughout the hotel, with new individual check-in stations and a touchscreen 'Go Board' in the lobby, which provides everything from weather and news to area dining and maps. Throughout the lobby, which has more living room-style spaces for guests to enjoy, ample plug-in stations are scattered for recharging electronic gear. There are even tech 'pods' - round spaces designed for small meetings for 3-4 people, kitted out with table, chair, and lots of power plug-ins.

Dining has been upgraded at the hotel as well. The new bistro-style cafe offers casual dining with flexible seating options, as well as a healthier menu of breakfast choices. In the evening, light fare is offered, as are snacks, wine and beer. A small market space offers snacks and beverages off-hours, as well as a variety of health and beauty essentials.
