Memphis in May International Festival

This four-part, month-long festival is Memphis's largest and most well-attended event. A different country is brought into focus each year through performances, art exhibits, lectures, and culinary demonstrations. Additionally, festivities celebrate the uniqueness of Memphis. The much-loved Beale Street Music Festival, the World Championship Barbecue Cooking Contest, and Sunset Symphony (an outdoor performance by the Memphis Symphony Orchestra) are all part of the action. More than a city-wide festival, the event attracts visitors from all over the region.
