University of Mississippi

The University of Mississippi is known for a gorgeous campus, college football's most gorgeous and possibly well-funded tailgate party, and producing literary superstars - and not necessarily in that order. Ole Miss, as the university is more commonly known, offers visitors the chance to explore beautiful gardens and an excellent museum in addition to collegiate football tradition. Rowan Oak, the home of author William Faulkner,is part of the university's museum system.
