A preeminent listening room and venue, The Bluebird Cafe has gained worldwide recognition as a songwriter’s home and stage. Don't let its unassuming location fool you. While it's nestled in a strip mall outside of downtown Nashville in Green Hills, behind its walls the Bluebird holds talent, history, and unforgettable memories. Many of the most celebrated songwriters and artists in Music City have performed on its stage.

A welcoming venue for all levels of talent, at The Bluebird, performers include up-and-coming songwriters along with those whose music is already known and treasured. From country to pop and rock, their stage isn't set on any genre or standard of song hits. Still, it is noteworthy to mention that Garth Brooks played at both their Open Mic and Sunday Songwriter’s Shows before he was discovered.

Famous artists–such as  LeAnn Rimes, Jojo Herman, and Phil Vassar–still come through its doors today, ready to mingle with familiar patrons and let the tunes of The Bluebird take them away. On average, three or four songwriters set up in the round, in the center of the room, and take turns performing. A true treasure of Nashville, this celebrated and iconic venue is a strong reminder of why fair Nashville is known as Music City.
