Situated in the middle of the up-and-coming Design District neighborhood on Oak Lawn Avenue in Dallas, Oak Restaurant first opened its doors in 2012. Since inception, Oak has impressed diners with its global cuisine and sleek, yet comfortable design, and it has recently been named one of the best restaurants in Dallas by D Magazine. Oak Restaurant specializes in international, creative cuisine, and diners can enjoy their innovative dishes and thoughtfully-crafted cocktails for dinner only, as this popular spot opens at 5 pm each day.
Start off your meal with one of many over-the-top cocktails including The Mighty Oak, a concoction of rare bourbon, ginger, mint, lemon and soda; Kiwi Collins, made with gin, kiwi, chartreuse, lemon and grapefruit bitters; or the Ginger Blossom, a refreshing blend of vodka, ginger liqueur, strawberry, cucumber and lemon.
Led by Executive Chef Jason Maddy, some of the most popular menu items there include a wide variety of seafood plates such as the rainbow trout served with jasmine rice, an herb broth, and shellfish and the striped bass served with fennel, quinoa tabouleh and heirloom tomato. The Oak menu also features organic chicken, veal tenderloin and prime strip loin. Pair your meal with a sophisticated, yet approachable bottle of wine, as Oak is known for its wine list.
Reservations are definitely recommended.
