If loud, rowdy New Year's Eve parties are not your thing, and you're not quite yet in the phase in which it's okay to ring in the New Year on the couch in your pajamas with a pizza delivery or a bag of popcorn, then find that happy medium with your special someone and enjoy a romantic New Year's Eve dinner at The Grape in Dallas. This Lower Greenville Avenue establishment has been the go-to date spot for Dallasites for decades, and it won't disappoint on New Year's Eve! This is the place to take your date to ignite or rekindle the flame for 2014.

Romantic and brimming with style, ambiance and character, this New American restaurant in Dallas features a wide variety of palate-pleasing favorites. Fresh rigatoni and marinated Australian lamb striploin keep diners well-satisfied. And the wine menu lists over 150 selections, 15 of which are available by the glass. The Grape Restaurant in DallasThe Grape Restaurant in Dallas — Photo courtesy of The Grape Restaurant

If the weather is pleasant (and you never know in Texas!), then outdoor dining adds to the charm of this Lower Greenville Avenue bistro. But if the weather outside is frightful, then cozy up to your loved one in the quaint, intimate interior dining room that features red and white checkered tablecloths and hand-painted murals.

On New Year's Eve, diners can enjoy a decadent three-course meal for only $65 per person, with an optional wine pairing upgrade for $20. Choose from delicious appetizers like sauteed crab cakes, warm cannellini bean hummus and winter citrus salad. Some of the best entrees here include the red wine braised beef short rib, caramelized sea scallops, sauteed duck confit, mustard custard salmon, roasted natural Texas chicken and grilled redfish. The over-the-top desserts include The Grape's classic creme brulee, dark chocolate terrine, pumpkin mascarpone cheesecake and egg nog sundaes.

If you want to indulge even further, then do not miss the famous bistro steak frites and the cheese and charcuterie plate, which features three or five cheese selections paired with fruit, mustards, crackers and condiments. It's New Year's Eve: t's okay to splurge a little bit every once in a while!

Reservations are definitely recommended, as this place is a highly sought after date restaurant. The Grape will be open on December 31, 2013, starting at 5 p.m., and there will be two-hour seatings throughout the night. Diners who book their tables for 9 p.m. or after will receive a complimentary glass of Champagne, perfect for toasting the passing of 2013 and the welcoming in of 2014.
