At these events, visitors get free admission to the outdoor museum and sculpture garden on the first Saturday of the month.
The purpose of the monthly event is to bring kids and parents together through art by encouraging artistic talents and appreciation of art in general.

Each month features a big idea and art project. For example, in June, the theme is curiosity, and the art project is "Let's Explore Binoculars."
The activities at Target First Saturdays are specifically designed for children in preschool and elementary school, so pack up the kids and get ready to go!
Along with the monthly big idea and art project, children can enjoy a wide variety of activities. The monthly project is available from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., and art demonstrations coincide with the activity from 10 a.m. to 12:20 p.m.
If you have little adventurers, they'll love the art scavenger hunt available from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. If you're traveling with a stroller, don't miss the hour-long family tour available from 10:15 a.m. to 12:15 p.m.
Parents will love the Yoga in the Garden activity at 11:30 a.m., as well as "Second Glances with the Writer's Garret" from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. Enjoy a picnic lunch with the whole crew while listening to Storytime (presented by the Dallas Public Library) at 12:30 p.m.
Along with these fun, family-centric activities, visitors can peruse the permanent exhibits throughout Nasher Sculpture Center.
The fabulous collection includes more than 300 pieces of art by greats like Pablo Picasso, Auguste Rodin, Jean Arp, Constantin Brancusi, Max Ernst, Willem de Kooning, Alberto Giacometti, Jasper Johns, Jeff Koons and Joan Miró. The list goes on and on.
Nasher Sculpture Center is located adjacent to the Dallas Museum of Art in the Arts District of downtown Dallas. It's also within walking distance of Dallas' newest green space: Klyde Warren Park.
Make a day of it and plan a visit to the Dallas Museum of Art while you're in the neighborhood. Then wrap up your fun family day with a meal from one of dozens of food trucks at Klyde Warren Park.
Dress to Nasher Sculpture Center is casual, and be sure to bring water and sunscreen if you visit during the hot summer months. There are plenty of shaded areas, as well as a few indoor exhibits, in which to cool off as well.
