Swiss fashion icon Edo Popken, most known for his colorful eye-catching menswear and limited edition dress shirts (hand-numbered in a series of 111)-- made the District a little more fashionable when he opened his eponymous U.S. flagship in a sleek 4,000-square-foot multi-leveled loft back in 2012. Here, you can find not only Popken's array of dress shirts, but also his collection of polo tops, trousers, jeans, outerwear and custom suits. Details like breathable and luxurious fabrics, intricate piping and specially-engineered buttons that don't break during the dry cleaning process-- are all part of the Popken's craftsmanship. The brand also has a striking accessory line that includes ties, scarves, belts, cufflinks and leather goods. Along with retail space, the showroom boasts a coffee bar and an on-site tailor offering complimentary alterations to store customers.
