Tony Parker’s Nueve Lounge launched early this spring to a wave of mixed reviews, mixed clientele and much chatter in reviews. Yes, this lounge is owned and named after that Tony Parker. For non-basketball fans, Tony is the charismatic all-star point guard for the San Antonio Spurs. He’s also well-known in connection with his ex-wife, actress Eva Longoria. With all the fame and fortune he’s experienced, it’s easy to assume he’s content. Still, the young millionaire decided to expand his list of achievements by launching a new night club with his brothers, T.J and Pierre.

Located in one of San Antonio’s most affluent neighborhoods, Nueve is near the residences of many celebrities. While it seems to be named after the NBA player, Tony Parker’s Nueve Lounge takes its name from Tony’s jersey number. ‘Nueve’ is nine in Spanish. With San Antonio’s multi-cultural heritage and Tex-Mex influence, the name is an excellent choice.
The club is open six days a week and guests are frequently reminded to ‘dress classy’ on the establishment’s Facebook page. The VIP patrons who frequent Tony Parker’s Nueve Lounge are varied and just as recognizable as the owner. In fact, don’t be surprised if you run into Tony himself or other Spurs players while at the club. Nueve has also welcomed the likes of Havana Brown and other well-known personalities.
