If you love architecture, then you can't miss visiting San Antonio's Central Library, located downtown and designed by renowned Mexican architect, Ricardo Legorreta. You won't be able to miss this 240,000-square-foot, six-story, enchilada red behemoth. One might think the color garish, but for some reason this brightly-colored building with its striking "Mexican Modernist" design just plain works. The library is covered in gorgeous artwork inside and out, including glass sculptures and a Botero horse near the front door. The interior of the library offers state-of-the art technology, educated staff and an immense collection of books, movies, music and other resources.
