The hotel is located down Soi 15, a quiet side street off the busy Sukhumvit thoroughfare, far enough away to ensure a peaceful night's sleep, yet close enough to countless numbers of restaurants, bars, shops and nightlife.
While it's a good 15-minute walk down to Sukhumvit, the hotel has a free tuk tuk shuttle to bring guests here and to the BTS Skytrain and MRT subway stations.
And, additionally, it's just a five-minute walk to the Saen Sab canal, where one can find public canal boats for traveling the length of Petchaburi Road into the Pratunam shopping district downtown, and even further on across the city towards Khao San Road.
The best feature about U Sukhumvit is part of the overall U chain of hotels' trendy policies. Guests can have 24-hour check-in, meaning one can check in at any time and stay for 24 hours from that time. Additionally, guests can pre-select their choice of pillow, soap and tea prior to arrival or upon check-in.
U Hotels has become popular throughout Thailand with these great policies, and in addition to this new Bangkok hot spot, they have another Bangkok location along Sathorn, as well as hotels in Phuket, Chiang Mai, Hua Hin, Pattaya, Kanchanaburi, Khao Yai and Koh Samui.
