Nothing complements a day in paradise quite like a scrumptious lunch at an idyllic eatery. If you get the munchies while out shopping in downtown Charlotte Amalie, try Cuzzin's for a taste of the Caribbean. The traditional West Indian fare is heavy on conch, lobster and shrimp dishes, and the 18th-century exposed interior will charm you for sure. Or if you want a gorgeous harbor view and wide-ranging menu of American, Asian, Caribbean, and European dishes, you'll want to ascend the stairs to Tavern on the Waterfront. If you need a break while shopping in Yacht Haven Grande, don't miss the Fat Turtle, which is known for its home-cooked barbecue with family-size portions, exotic cocktails, fabulous frozen drinks, and spectacular view of the marina. Frenchtown is worth hoofing it to for lunch, even if you have no other reason to go there but the food itself. Sit at a sidewalk table at Alexander's Bella Blu and nosh on schnitzel and other European favorites, or grab a booth at Hook, Line and Sinker and enjoy some grilled fish or a burger. The east end's favorite lunch spots include the elegant XO Bistro, whose menu include items such as blackened ahi tuna, ribeye steak, and lobster linguine, or the ever-popular Molly Molone's where you can a feast on bangers and mash, fish and chips, shepherd's pie and corned beef and cabbage while washing it down with wide variety of brews and mixed drinks.
