Iglu is a chic and friendly bar restaurant in Edinburgh's New Town. Behind a vibrant green frontage lies a comfortable and welcoming space filled with eclectic art and understated rustic furniture. Deep mulberry walls contrast with large picture windows and clean uncluttered table tops to great effect. Recently named Scottish Sustainable Restaurant of the Year, Iglu wears its organic and sustainable credentials on its sleeve. As well as boasting that an incredible 90 percent of ingredients are locally sourced and organic they make regular charitable donations and have been a passionate supporter of sustainable cooking. It should not surprise that food treated with such care and respect is also prepared and presented beautifully. The menu is not large, but each dish has been carefully chosen and the end result is a feast for the senses that does not stain your conscience or place too much strain on your wallet.
- Restaurants with Healthy Menus: "The luxury three course set menu with aperitif, artisan bread and handmade organic truffles is a real treat at an impressively reasonable price."
- Best for Restaurants with Healthy Menus Because: At Iglu choosing the healthy, gluten free or celiac friendly options does not mean you have to stint on flavor.
