2012 has been a great year for downtown Salt Lake City. Opening in the former location of Monk’s House of Jazz and D.B. Cooper’s, Bourbon House brought to the city a totally new nightlife experience. Offering at once an excellent food selection and great bar stacked with scotch, whiskey and bourbon, the all-new Bourbon House is a versatile establishment perfect for any occasion–from a business lunch to a late night of partying.
This bar has a busy schedule packed full of diverse events and deep discounts on food. Live music fills the evenings most days of the week, and artists range from electronica DJs to local bands and solo acts. Pool tables, free on many nights, provide a relaxing means to socialize.
On the restaurant side, Bourbon House cooks up a tempting selection of satisfying foods. If you’re in the mood for something light, try one of their BBQ chicken or roasted veggie and fresh mozzarella salads and a bowl of Carolee’s kick-ass chicken posole soup. If you’re hungrier, order a Philly cheesesteak sandwich with sautéed onions, mushrooms and green peppers. Or if you simply find yourself with a case of the late-night munchies, order yourself a plate of poutine, bacon and jalapeño-wrapped tater tots, bourbon wings or totchos–an irresistible heap of tater tots, tomatoes, black olives, green onions, guacamole and sour cream.
Look at Bourbon House’s online calendar and time your visit with any of their food specials or live events. Stop by for an evening of free pool, half-priced dishes, DJ events, funk and soul nights. . .or recover from the previous evening with Sunday brunch and $2 mimosas.
