Salt Lake City is fortunate to have a thriving dining scene. Packed with a diverse selection of restaurants, Salt Lake City offers its visitors and residents a global selection of fare, sold at a full range of prices. Given that the city already has virtually every type of restaurant imaginable, it is quite challenging for new restaurants to stay in business - let alone flourish.
Enter The Copper Onion, one of Salt Lake City's newest and most successful eateries. Serving regional American cuisine, The Copper Onion offers a menu that showcases the best of the Beehive State's home-grown fare. Owner and head chef, Ryan Lowder, pairs his creativity with the wealth of Utah's own farms to offer Salt Lake City an entirely new dining experience.
Born and raised in Utah, Lowder has lived in Portland, New York City, Barcelona, and even South Africa. Along the way - during his formal education, and in kitchens around the globe - he absorbed the culinary traditions of other cultures. Now, having returned to his home state, he combines these influences and his honed skills, bringing out the finest in Utah's own ingredients.
The menu at The Copper Onion has been designed to encourage guest to explore. Entrees consist of familiar dishes with unconventional twists, made always from the freshest ingredients available. Side dishes have been designed to broaden your palette, and are meant to be shared around the table.
