The Cliff Lodge is the most dominant lodging option at Little Cottonwood Canyon's Snowbird Resort. This structure, at nearly a dozen levels in height, is largest of all in the resort village. But it isn't only the size of the Cliff Lodge that makes it stand out. It is also its top-notch guest services, accommodations, and restaurants. And though these are known as some of the finest in the entire Salt Lake area, they were undeniably dated in appearance until recent renovations.
One such facet of the Cliff Lodge benefiting from a recent facelift is the Aerie Restaurant – reputed as being the best at Snowbird, and among the best in the entire state of Utah. Located in level 10 of this hotel, this restaurant enjoys ultra-prime real estate. With pointblank views of Snowbird's slopes and extended views down the entire length of Little Cottonwood Canyon, the Aerie is off to an excellent start. And with superb New American cuisine, this restaurant has more-than-solid culinary appeal. However, the Aerie – which opened in the early 1980's – still bore the distinctive décor of that era until just this year. Now, after an extensive remodel, this restaurant's dining room is fully modernized and up to par with the food side of the establishment.
Also recently remodeled is the Cliff Spa, located in levels 9 and 10 of the same lodge. With the reception area, lobby, locker rooms, salon, steam room, solarium, and treatment areas all having just received a major aesthetic update, guests at this spa will find their experience even more rejuvenating.
Both The Aerie and the Cliff Spa are open throughout the year; whether you're in town during winter or summer, consider treating yourself to both.
