Snowbird Ski resort in Little Cottonwood Canyon, just outside of Salt Lake City, UT offers something special to those out of town visitors spending the holiday here. On Christmas Eve, Head to the Plaza Deck at dusk for bonfires and to see the Torchlight Parade come down the mountain (skiers carrying lights) - a magical sight. Santa makes an exciting entrance, rapelling down from out of the Tram car to see the kids and say hello. Afterwards, see a spectacular fireworks show, then head inside to warm up and participate in a Christmas Eve candlelight service. During the day, you might even see Santa and Mrs. Claus riding around the slopes and passing out treats. New Years Eve brings another exciting evening of bonfire, torchlight parade and later, dancing in the Wildflower Lounge to bring in the New Year.
- Things to Do in December: "After the fireworks, head to Level 2 of the Snowbird Center for a short Candlelight Service sermon and caroling."
- Best for Things to Do in December Because: The torchlight parade is a magical sight coming down the mountain and Santa makes a grand entrance!
