Ballard SeafoodFest

For one July weekend, the streets of Ballard shut down and all the trappings of a summer festival move in. This one is focused on food, specifically seafood, although there's enough variety for everyone. The one item that everyone talks about is smoked salmon barbecue, and it is fabulous and deserves every bit of praise it earns. Wash it down with something from a beer/wine garden. Live music of all sorts, fun activities and contests, and a battalion of arts and crafts vendors fill the time when you're not eating.
