This delightful libation couldn't be easier to concoct. Simply pour 1/2 shot of raspberry liqueur (Chambord is always easy to find) in a flute, then top with champagne. To really make your drink look beautiful, drop a fresh raspberry in the bottom of the glass.
A classic alternate is the recipe attributed to the Metropolitan Hotel in New York, circa 1935. Soak a sugar cube in a couple of good splashes of Angostura bitters and place in the bottom of a large champagne flute. Fill slowly with sparkling wine. Garnish with a lemon twist.
Voila' . . . it's time to make a toast!
