Romantic celebrations shouldn't be limited to that one day a year Saint Valentine is celebrated, though any excuse for chocolate and cute cards is okay in our books. However, romance can be found throughout Vancouver all year long, and these spas, hotels and restaurants are a few of our favorites that will add fuel to your already burning love.

Start your day off with a little pampering and relaxation by taking a trip to the spa. If you've got a set of wheels and are in the mood for a little road trip, Healing Springs Spa in Harrison Hot Springs is a beautiful escape from the city. The fresh water lake surrounded by lush mountains is right at your fingertips, and the warm, nutrient-filled water from the hot springs fills up the pools for pure blissful relaxation after an intimate couples massage. The drive there is just over an hour and so worth it. Should the drive not be on your agenda, there are plenty of excellent spas in downtown Vancouver, perhaps even in the hotel you're staying at. The Fairmont Hotel Vancouver is home to Absolute Spa's man-focused location, but women are very welcome and they offer a number of couples packages. If your man is new to spa treatments, this may be a great way to ease him in and win him over for future spa dates.

After you and your partner have found your inner zen, it's time to satiate your inner hunger. For an inviting Italian dinner, you won't regret going to Il Giardino. The restaurant is set in what appears to be a large house, and once inside white table linens, warm lighting and rich wood invite you to relax. A cozy space, top notch service and fabulous food all mingle together to create a memorable evening that will leave you singing "That's Amore" all the way back to your hotel.
If you and your love are foodies at heart, dinner at Hawksworth Restaurant will make you swoon. The chic environment sets the stage for Chef David Hawksworth's culinary delights that have French and West Coast influences. Not to mention, this lovely restaurant is located right in the fabulous Rosewood Hotel Georgia, one of Vancouver's most beautiful hotels.

Couples that like to workout and eat together may be interested in checking out Grouse Mountain's snowshoe and fondue that takes place six days a week throughout the winter season. Get your heart rate up and trek through the snowy trails and then tuck in to cheese, broth and chocolate fondue.
